My Test Email Was Not Delivered — What to Do

If you sent a test email and it did not arrive in your inbox, do not panic. There are several common reasons this happens, and most of them are easy to resolve.

1. Check Your Spam or Junk Folder

The first place to check is your spam or junk folder. Test emails — especially from new senders or unauthenticated domains — are sometimes filtered automatically. If you find the test email there, this is a signal that you need to review your deliverability settings before sending to your full list.

2. Check If Your Domain Is Authenticated

If you are using a custom domain email address that has not been authenticated, Mailzzy will replace your From address with a Mailzzy-managed domain. While this does not prevent delivery, it can affect how your test email is received.

3. Wait a Few Minutes

Email delivery is not always instantaneous. Depending on the receiving mail server, delivery can take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. Wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before concluding that the test email has not arrived.

4. Check the Email Address You Sent To

Double-check that you entered the correct email address when sending the test. A simple typo is a common cause of missing test emails.

5. Check Your Spam Detection Score

If your campaign has a high spam detection score, it is more likely to be filtered or rejected by the receiving server. Run the spam detection check on your campaign and address any flagged issues before retesting.

6. Contact Mailzzy Support

If you have checked all of the above and your test email is still not arriving, contact the Mailzzy support team. Provide details of the sender address, the email address you tested to, and the approximate time you sent the test. Our team will investigate and help you resolve the issue.
