How to Export Your Contacts from Mailzzy

Exporting your contact list gives you a portable copy of your subscriber data. You may need to export for a variety of reasons — backing up your list before making changes, migrating to a new platform, sharing contact data with another tool, or simply keeping your own offline records. Mailzzy makes it straightforward to download your full contact list as a CSV file.

What Gets Included in a Contact Export

When you export your contacts from Mailzzy, the downloaded file includes the data fields stored in each contact record. Depending on how your contacts were added and what custom fields you have set up, your export may include:

  • Email address
  • First name and last name
  • Phone number
  • Address, city, state, country, and postal code
  • Time zone
  • Contact status (subscribed, unsubscribed, bounced, etc.)
  • Tags assigned to the contact
  • Any custom field values you have collected

How to Export a Specific List, Group, or Segment

If you only want to export a particular group of contacts rather than your entire account list:

  1. Go to the Contacts page and navigate to the specific list, group, or segment you want to export.
  2. Open the list or segment view.
  3. Look for the Export option within that view.
  4. Follow the same steps as above to download the export.

What to Do with Your Export File

Once you have your CSV file, you can:

  • Import into another platform – Most email marketing and CRM tools accept CSV imports with standard column headers.
  • Keep as a backup – Store the file securely as a snapshot of your list before making bulk changes, running a clean-up, or testing a new campaign strategy.
  • Analyze the data – Open the file in a spreadsheet tool to review list composition, identify patterns, or filter contacts by specific criteria.

Note: Contact export files contain personal data. Store them securely and handle them in accordance with applicable data protection laws in your region, including GDPR if you have European subscribers.

What If My Export Is Not Showing All Contacts?

If the exported file contains fewer contacts than you expected:

  • Check whether you exported from a specific list or segment rather than your full account
  • Confirm that unsubscribed or bounced contacts are included — some export options allow you to filter by contact status
