Why We Built Mizo

Mizo is Mailzzy's conversational AI agent that drafts, edits, targets, and schedules email campaigns from a single description, with sending gated behind explicit user confirmation.

What It Actually Does

This Isn't AI That Makes Your Content Better, It Actually Creates Your Content

Here's a Look Into the Brains Behind the Scenes

Try It

From ideation to production in a matter of minutes - this is where Mizo matters.

Here is a thing that happens to every small business owner using an email marketing platform.

You have news. A new collection, a sale ending Friday, a reopening, a workshop with six seats left. You have maybe ten minutes between other jobs. You open your email tool, and before you can tell anybody anything, it asks you to choose a template. Then it opens an editor. Then it wants a subject line, and body copy, and it wants you to fix the button, and then you discover the button looks wrong on a phone. Then a different screen for recipients. Another for the sending identity. Another to schedule it.

None of those steps is unreasonable on its own. Together they're the reason the email doesn't go out today.

We built Mizo because the thing in your head, we're launching the summer collection next week and I want to tell our customers, already contains almost everything the campaign needs. It has a topic, an audience, a rough sense of timing, and a tone. What it doesn't have is a template choice, a content block layout, or a sending domain. The gap between what you know and what a campaign builder demands before it will do anything is, for a lot of people, the whole cost of email marketing.

Mizo closes that gap by letting your idea transform into a revenue generating campaign.

What It Actually Does

Mizo turning a plain-language request into a complete email campaign

Mizo is a conversational agent inside Mailzzy. You describe the campaign; it builds it.

You: Create a campaign for our new summer collection.

It doesn't interview you first. A complete first draft appears straight away: subject line, written content, a styled email you can look at. That's deliberate: a draft you can react to is worth more than four questions you have to answer before you see anything at all.

You: Make the button green and the subject punchier.

Two targeted changes. Everything else in the email stays exactly as it was. Mizo doesn't rewrite your whole campaign because you asked about a button. And the previous version is kept, so undo that and go back to how it was before are real options.

You: Who can I send this to?

Your actual contact groups, numbered, with real counts, pulled from your account as you ask. Then send to 1 and 3 is enough.

You: Schedule it for tomorrow at 10am.

It works out what tomorrow at 10am means from the real time in your timezone, checks that it's genuinely in the future, and then stops and shows you exactly what's about to happen: how many recipients, which sender, which subject line, what time.

Nothing goes out until you preview and say Go.

This Isn't AI That Makes Your Content Better, It Actually Creates Your Content

Plenty of tools now have a button that generates a subject line. That's useful, and it's not what this is.

Mizo operates the product. It creates the campaign, edits it, reads your real contact groups, attaches an audience, sets the sender and sending domain, schedules it, and submits it. The email is one output among several. What actually changes about your afternoon is that a job which was spread across six screens is now one conversation, and you can do it from your phone while doing something else.

It also works with campaigns you already have. Ask it to pull up the Black Friday email you built two months ago and change the dates, and it will find it, open it, and edit it, rather than starting from scratch and losing what was already good.

Here's a Look Into the Brains Behind the Scenes

Mizo working from your real Mailzzy account data, with nothing sending until you confirm

Mizo drafts and refines using AI. It does not decide anything that touches your list. That distinction is the core of how it's built, and it comes down to three commitments.

It works from your real account, never from memory.

Mizo keeps no list of your contact groups, your senders, or your domains. When it shows you a group, it has just read it from your account, with your own permissions, and the count next to it is the real count. If it hasn't looked, it doesn't know, and it isn't allowed to guess. This is also why it will never quietly pick a sending identity you didn't choose: if there's more than one and you haven't said which, it asks. A campaign that goes out from the wrong email address is worse than one that asks another question.

Sending is gated in code, not by good manners.

When you send or schedule, the conversation genuinely stops. Your confirmation isn't the AI politely checking in. It's a hard gate that the rest of the process is waiting behind. Behind that gate sit further checks that run every time: your account's sending limits, a safeguard that makes it impossible for a retry or a refresh to send the same campaign twice, and a rendering check on the email itself. If the email can't be rendered safely for real inboxes, it doesn't go out.

Your campaign goes through the same pipeline as everything else in Mailzzy.

Mizo doesn't have a private send path. It assembles the campaign and hands it to the workflow the rest of the product already uses: the same quota validation, the same review, the same scheduling and delivery. Everything Mailzzy already does well, it keeps doing. Mizo is a new way in, not a parallel system.

A few smaller things follow from the same thinking. Every email Mizo styles is checked against the structural rules that make email render properly in Gmail, Yahoo, Apple Mail and Outlook, so what you preview is what your recipients see. Personalization uses the merge tags Mailzzy actually substitutes, so nobody receives an email that opens with a blank where their first name should be. And the unsubscribe link can't be removed by asking: not by you, not by us, not by the AI.

Try It

Mizo is live in Mailzzy now. The fastest way to understand it is to open it and describe a campaign you were going to build this week anyway. You can also see how Mizo works before you start.

If you'd like the engineering detail (the architecture, the reliability work, and what it takes to let a language model operate a live product without letting it decide anything that matters), our engineering team at SoftSages wrote that up separately: Engineering Mizo: an AI agent inside a system that can't be approximately right.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

What is Mizo?

Mizo is a conversational AI agent inside Mailzzy. You describe a campaign in plain language, and it drafts the subject line, copy, and a styled email - no templates or blank editor screens required.

No. Sending is gated behind a hard confirmation step built into the product, not just an AI courtesy check. Before anything goes out, Mizo shows you the recipient count, sender, subject line, and send time, and waits for your go-ahead.

No. It keeps no memory of your groups, senders, or domains. It reads them live from your account each time, so the numbers you see are always current, and it asks rather than guesses when something is ambiguous (like which sender to use).

Yes. Ask Mizo to pull up a past campaign, for example one from a previous sale, and it will find it, open it, and make the changes you ask for instead of rebuilding it from zero.

No. Every campaign it builds runs through the same pipeline as the rest of Mailzzy: the same sending limits, review process, scheduling, and delivery system already in place.

Yes. Mizo checks every email it styles against the structural rules that make emails render properly across major inboxes and devices, so what you preview matches what recipients receive.
