How to Request a Dedicated IP Address

Last updated on May 15, 2026

A dedicated IP address gives your email campaigns their own exclusive sending channel — one whose reputation is built entirely by your own sending activity. This guide explains how to request a dedicated IP in Mailzzy and what to expect from the process.

Before You Request: Is a Dedicated IP Right for You?

A dedicated IP is not the right choice for every sender. Before requesting one, consider:

  • You send consistently high volumes – Dedicated IPs perform best for senders dispatching 50,000 or more emails per month on a regular schedule. Lower-volume senders typically get better deliverability through Mailzzy’s shared IP infrastructure, which already has an established positive reputation.
  • Your list is clean and engaged – A dedicated IP’s reputation is entirely dependent on the quality of your sending. If your list has high bounce rates or low engagement, a dedicated IP will build a poor reputation quickly — which is harder to recover from than a shared one.
  • You are prepared to warm it up – A brand new dedicated IP has no reputation. It must be warmed up gradually over several weeks before being used for full-volume sends. Skipping this step can cause immediate deliverability problems.

Which Plans Include Dedicated IP Access?

Dedicated IP addresses are available on qualifying Mailzzy plans. If you are on a Standard or Premium plan and your sending volume meets the threshold, contact the support team to discuss your options. For businesses with very high-volume requirements, Mailzzy also offers custom plan configurations. Visit mailzzy.com/pricing or contact support to review current plan details.

The Warm-Up Requirement

Warm-up is not optional when you receive a dedicated IP. Starting with your full list on day one is one of the fastest ways to damage your sender reputation before it has had a chance to build. Mailzzy’s team will provide a warm-up schedule tailored to your account, typically starting with a small percentage of your list and increasing gradually over 4 to 8 weeks.

Note: Sending large volumes from a cold dedicated IP without completing the warm-up process can result in immediate spam filtering and may require months of recovery work. Follow the warm-up schedule provided by the Mailzzy team without skipping steps.

What Happens After the IP Is Provisioned?

Once your dedicated IP is active and assigned to your account, all campaigns sent from your account will be delivered through it. Your warm-up schedule will specify how many recipients to include in each campaign during the ramp-up phase. After warm-up is complete, you can send your full list volume through the dedicated IP.
