When you send emails, they are delivered via an IP address. Understanding the difference between a shared IP and a dedicated IP can help you decide which option is right for your sending needs.
An IP address is a unique identifier assigned to a mail server. Inbox providers use it — along with your domain — to evaluate your sender reputation and decide whether your emails should land in the inbox or the spam folder.
Shared IP – Your emails are sent from the same IP address used by other Mailzzy senders. Your reputation on a shared IP is influenced by the sending behaviour of all users on that IP.
Dedicated IP – You are the only sender using that IP address. Your reputation is entirely based on your own sending behavior.
A dedicated IP is not necessary for everyone. Here is a general guide to help you decide:
A brand new dedicated IP has no reputation — it is completely neutral. This means you must warm it up gradually before sending large volumes. Jumping straight into high-volume sending from a cold IP will almost certainly trigger spam filters.
Follow the warm-up schedule in our Warm Up Your Sending Domain or Dedicated IP guide to build a positive reputation safely.
Dedicated IPs are available on qualifying Mailzzy plans.
To request one, contact the Mailzzy support team or add it directly within the platform. Your account manager will assist with setup and a tailored warm-up plan.

Note: If you request a dedicated IP, do not skip the warm-up process. Sending large volumes from a cold IP can damage your reputation immediately and take months to recover.
