How to Use the Rich Text Editor

The Rich Text Editor is the quickest way to write a simple email. It works like a word processor, with no layout to design.

When to Use the Rich Text Editor

Mailzzy offers three ways to design an email. Choose the one that fits:

• Rich Text Editor: simple, personal-looking emails such as founder notes, text newsletters and follow-ups.

• Visual Builder: designed layouts with images, columns and buttons, using the drag-and-drop editor.

• HTML Editor: full control when you want to write or paste your own code.

Open the Rich Text Editor

When you design a campaign, a template or an automation email, choose Rich Text Editor. To switch to another option later, select Change design option.

Format Your Email

The toolbar lets you:

• Choose a font and a size from 8 to 72 px.

• Make text bold, italic, underlined or struck through.

• Change the text and highlight colors.

• Align text, and increase or decrease the indent.

• Add bulleted and numbered lists, block quotes and tables.

• Insert links, images and emoji.

• Clear formatting, and undo or redo changes.

• Switch to the HTML source to see or edit the code.

Personalize Your Email

Select Insert Token to add merge tags, such as the contact's first name or a custom attribute.
