How to View Contact Statuses
Subscribed
Unsubscribed
Bounced
Spam
Each contact in Mailzzy has a status that indicates whether they can receive your email campaigns. These statuses help you manage your audience and maintain a healthy sender reputation.
Subscribed contacts are active and can receive your email campaigns. Mailzzy only sends emails to contacts with this status.
Note: Subscribed contacts are counted toward your contact usage.
These contacts have opted out of your emails—either by clicking the unsubscribe link in your campaign, being manually unsubscribed by you.
Once a contact is unsubscribed:
Note: Unsubscribed contacts are not counted toward your contact usage.
The Bounced status in Mailzzy applies only to hard bounces—meaning the email couldn't be delivered due to a permanent issue, such as an invalid email address. When this happens, the contact is automatically removed from your groups and marked as Bounced.
Soft bounces, on the other hand, are temporary delivery failures (e.g., a full inbox or server issue). These contacts stay Subscribed unless the email soft bounces five times in a row (or based on your custom limit), at which point they are treated as a hard bounce and moved to Bounced status.
Note: Bounced contacts are not counted toward your contact usage.
If a contact marks your email as spam, Mailzzy updates their status to Spam.
Note: Contacts marked as Spam are not counted toward your contact usage.
